Atmospheric Chemistry Research Group

We focus on the chemical and physical processes of aerosols in the atmosphere and their interactions with clouds. The goal is to better understand/predictair quality,climate changes,andair circulations on the Earth. Investigations are performed by means of laboratory experiments, field measurements, and computer simulations. (image)

Research Interests

Understanding of hygroscopic properties and phase transitionsof atmospheric aerosols.
Role of secondary organic aerosols in the atmosphere: source, formation and growth process.
Heterogeneous atmospheric chemistry: interactions between gases and aerosols.
Kinetics and mechanisms of ice nucleation in the atmosphere.
Aerosol effects on climate change and interactions between atmosphere, biosphere, and hydrosphere.
